Misty Magic, as haze fills the morning sky, bluebirds are gathering, mating, nesting, Spring is here

3 Easy Ways to Creatively Jumpstart Life and Art. Sometimes it feels like we’re just spinning our wheels, trying to survive. One step forward seems to meet with 10 steps back.

When I am in this mood of slower than mud, I begin with my journal and dig deep. First of all, I ask questions. I let answers all pour out onto the legal pad or any tablet I have. Then I just allow the stream of writing to do its thing. Without thinking, I let my hand flow across the page, writing whatever is relevant to know at this time. It’s amazing what this technique brings up. Just Ask, and more is given than you can ever imagine.

Secondly, pretend it until you are it. What would flow be for you? Would you have ‘more than enough’ of everything? Start now. Go through all the more than enough things you already have.

I have more than enough money (dollar bills and jars of coins in truth), towels, chairs, rugs, pictures, books, paintings, clothes, photos, trees in the yard, birds in the trees, and art supplies. Writing, thinking, and saying these things aloud, fills you with an abundance of energy. Start today to live in the place of ‘more than enough’!

3 Easy Ways to Creatively Jumpstart Life and Art Demands Action

Thirdly, Action moves you forward. Consciously create from your soul.

Next, I bring intuitive creating into the mix. Making the invisible visible opens the doors to new worlds, new ideas, and new directions. Connect with the Nature around you.

Intuitive creating can start with lines on paper or canvas, or a collage of images/leaves/cards that you love, or pure color poured, tilted, and stirred with a stick. The idea is to let surprising things happen. Plus, what colors draw you in, make you feel good, and somehow reflect a part of you in this moment? Play with them and see what they tell you.

Let the Art draw You into its magic.

My focus for the above painting was to to somehow illustrate the ‘in the cloud’ mornings, the giant haze on the Earth, as though moving through slow motion to see the beauty and truth. Listen deeply.

I could hear the birds. Every so often, flits of yellow, red, and blue would zoom by. Then, magically, three bluebirds landed on the nearest tree. They seem to be exploring the neighborhood for good nesting sites. They’ve nested in our birdhouse in years past, so possibly they are returning to a home they’ve known.

So many possibilities are triggered with these three patterns of life. Try them out. See if shifts happen within and without. Make art in the color of money, filled with all the decorations of a one hundred dollar bill. Make it up, make it yours, and make it so.
