Doing Art Awakens An Inner Power in Three Ways
Art Awakens Inner Power in me as I lose myself in a whole body experience. Creating touches my mind, intuition, and instincts like nothing else. I have the pictures my husband has taken of this wonderful, huge barred Owl. She has visited us up close and personal over the last 2 weeks. Specifically, she’s turned our beautiful driveway into a magical kingdom. First of all, we already have gorgeous evergreens creating a natural arch, hiding the home from view on the road. But then, as she pauses and lets us get the mail, take pictures, and make eye contact, this path becomes a mystical experience. The mind in engaged in every way.
Next, Art Awakens Inner Power as intuition takes over. For instance, I see the photos of her beautiful eyes, pose, and plumage, and my heart brain kicks in. The heart knows what it loves immediately. Above all, heart starts to dream owl surrounded by symbols, magic, and the full moon. Furthermore, I’m reminded of ancient clockworks, astrological signs, and mysteries of ancient societies that I’ve read about. Moreover, all my sightings of symbols hidden in stone within floors and walls of churches and cathedrals of Rome and Paris, floods back into memory. Now this painting becomes a personal means of expression, my original signature of what Owl means to me.
Instincts + Power of Knowing Self
Finally, Art Awakens Inner Power when my body moves to deep instincts of creation. Picking the canvas, sketching the concept, and mixing the colors, come from my most primitive knowing. Most of all, the body remembers all it has done before, creating my own brand of colors, shapes, and lines. This is the Power of the Artist. As a result, the studio becomes a Timeless space, Sacred Space, my Sanctuary where dreams are manifest. For this reason, this Owl becomes my moment in time. It marks my day, my thoughts of self, and my creativity. After all, what is one’s Power if not knowing themselves deeply? Most of all, this is my Imagination made Visible. How magical is that?!

She is so beautiful, she touches my heart and my emotions (both your painting and her in real time). Getting lost happens for me when I teach……..many blessings for a beautiful day…….going to mow the grass and gaze at my mountains. Much Love!!!
