Live with your Ebb and Flow
Some years ago while teaching jewelry at the local craft center, one of my students said, ‘Oh the new Sundance Catalogue is out. Everybody scrambles to see the latest trends to get ideas for their work’. Really??!! Why? These other people have created the perfect example of each beautiful piece. Why put your energy into creating a lesser copy? I still don’t ‘get it’. I guess they were looking for ‘inspiration’.
Here’s the Truth. We all go through Ebb and Flow in energy, in money, in inspiration. Go with it. Let the Ebb happen while all the Universe aligns to get ready for the next Big Flourish AHA moment that certainly will come your way. You can’t push, squeeze, & force beautiful original ideas to pour from your heart. They take time to blossom, grow, enrich the landscape.
Running off to keep busy by doing everything that everybody else does, just drains you, leaves you unsatisfied deep down inside. Not good. You’re better off being out in Nature, doing stream of consciousness writing, cooking a new dish, learning something new, taking a nap (like Einstein often did!), or listening to an uplifting DVD. Do things to get your creative juices flowing, then let the Universe take over. An Original carries the high vibration of insight, illumination, and epiphanies. You can feel it. Anything less, an imitation of anything, is like a dead thing. An outer shell without a soul. The World requires each of us to be true to our Super Human Hero Selves and create original ways of life, of art, of expression. Our Souls demand it.
