What transports you away from the world of transitory things, to the deeper Other World of Inner Peace?
What path leads you to the place where you know personally that you are just fine, and all is well in your world? Escaping the routine does that. Consciously stepping away from the daily habits of life, immerses your Self in new sights, sounds, and experiences. The New slows down time as your sensory self relishes the now moment in mindfulness. It’s so healthy for body, heart, and soul.
Being Creative does that. Creativity psychically takes us to an inner sanctuary, a safe haven, the personal place where we can manifest all that matters to us. I take time out to photograph Nature for future paintings. My photos can then also be used to create original digital art pieces in ways that are imaginative and surprising. Painting, collage, drawing, sculpting, stream of consciousness writing, touches that deeper place only when I can forget perfection, comparisons, or judgement calls. Our inner judge can be brutal to true creativity.
It’s all about accessing the ‘feeling’, the inner calm, the heart wisdom, the love, and making it last throughout the day, or for as long as possible. It feels like a Light of healing, soothing & flowing over the soul. Prayer, chanting, drumming, rattles, music, closing our eyes, slowing the breathing, are ways to enter the Sacred Space and experience a Lightness of Being. These actions touch your core, your essence. What a great way to start the day.
