I Know that I Know

I Know that I Know

I Will Stop saying “I don’t Know!”

My cousin, who is like my older brother, always would tell his buddy, ‘Even if you don’t know the answer, SAY Something!” So when the car broke down, and these two non-mechanics looked under the hood, the buddy said, “At least the battery is here!”. To which my cousin said, “Where?” Yes, it was stolen, and they probably bought back their own battery at the nearest gas station that just happened to have one to fit their car.

The point that I’ve come to realize lately, is that saying “I don’t Know!” stops you in your tracks. You cease looking for answers, and you’re frozen, stuck, no energy flowing anymore. Doubt enters when we’re fighting our own progress. It’s a game we play with ourselves, that almost becomes a distraction from what we’re trying to accomplish! It’s time to stop all that nonsense. Each of us always knows something.

I always knew what I didn’t want to do. I didn’t want to be a check out girl at the Dominicks, I didn’t want to move away from Chicago until I established my teaching career, and I for sure didn’t want to move far away from my family. I actually didn’t ‘know’ how to create a painting with india ink and baby wipes before I saw the video in my class, but you really don’t know what you can DO until you DO IT! You will amaze yourself.

This image seemed to appear out of the background as I dabbed on, wiped off. Kind of like life. We try some new things, and let go of the old things. We keep re-inventing ourselves in this way. The key to remember is that the past is old. Trying to repeat past experiences holds no passion anymore. The new re-invented you needs new ways to live, to create, and move forward. So Practice Knowing!

Pretend you know and ‘say something’ in difficult situations. Allow your creative side to explode into new areas of expertice. Say good-bye to your old self, and allow your new persona to blossom. Tell yourself daily, “I know that I know!” Move forward with confidence doing all that ‘feels’ right. Follow your heart. You have the ‘say’ in your life so reach for the best in everything, create a magical year, and allow abundance to flow in. Knowingness is truly living life, not fighting it anymore.
