Life Reduced to 3 Basics

Life Reduced to 3 Basics

River of Life, our forest, Grandmother Moon, moody skies, flowing river, reflections

Life reduced to 3 Basics, simplifies each day profoundly. My 3 are painting, caring for my body and health, and a daily stream of consciousness writing to let my Spirit Sing. Releasing the old approach, thinking, and responsibilities, opens new doors to consciousness and possibilities.

First of all, immersing myself in my own art, expanding my experiences, and discovering unique surprises changes everything. No longer trying to anticipate what others need or want, my focus is on hearing my Spirit, entering the mystery, and creating happy accidents. What an innovative, freeing way to live!

Secondly, doing No Harm to my body has become my mantra. ‘Thinking’ (note that word!) I could do anything, I tried to cut into some hard small watermelons that wrecked my wrist and shoulder of my dominant arm. None of us know our limits until we’ve crossed the line, and I’m paying for this one.

Also, I’m hesitant to see a specialist until this covid dies down a bit. I can’t compound my pain with misery at this point. So I adapt. I use different tools, my other hand, and try new techniques for surprising experiences. As long as I keep creating, I can still make paintings like the River of Life above.

Everyone has something they have to live with, and this has become my ‘thing’. Had I approached this from a feeling point of view, I would have thrown the bowling ball melons into the woods! I believe my part of the bargain of this gift of life is to keep my body strong and functioning.

Life reduced to 3 Basics connects me with Spirit.

Thirdly, my daily morning writing in new big loopy letters, keeps me on track with life. This is where I get these posts. They are in the moment, often lead me down paths I never thought of, and open me to new possibilities to consider. I feel I’m giving Spirit a Voice with both my art and writing. I am spirit existing in a body, listening for its inspiration, creating moments of connection with it, and touching the Unknown Magic of the Universe. What a mystical way to live.

I believe we all need a new, fun, simpler way to live and enjoy life. Old school, old work demands, are gone and we can never go back. New Freedom yearns for new ways to discover, play, and contribute to the new world.

How has your life changed? Are you able to look at it with fresh eyes and accept who you are becoming? What makes you happy every day? Allow life to expand without control, be open to discovering new ways to feel this moment now, and connect with me here to voice your thoughts. Find more thoughtful art over at www.awegroup.net.
