New Moon Rituals: Spring, Magical New Beginnings
New Moon Rituals of Spring welcome the return of the Sun. Rituals engage the body, heart, and soul. As we connect with the shifting season, rituals open the door to deepening our personal growth, renewal, and change. Mindful actions mark the beginning of new life while bringing closure to the past. It’s a time of reflection, shifting gears, and trying new directions. It’s Time to change our Stories.
“The biggest problem we run into is going, ‘This is who I am, this is what I’m like, this is how I function’ while failing to notice that you don’t do that anymore.” Neil Gaiman

Body Rituals
New Moon Rituals make me more aware of my body, and of cleansing inside and out. To begin with, think the top 3: Breathing, Stretching, and Hydrating. For example, how often do we hold our breath during the day? That’s withholding Life! Breathing deeply detoxes the lungs and pours oxygen through organs, muscles, and bloodstream. Set a timer to remind yourself to take 7 slow deep breathes each time you hear the tone. Get a bracelet or simply post notes everywhere with Breathe written on it. My good friend has it tattooed on her wrist. Fill the air with good scents to Breathe Deeply. Life begins with the Breath!
Secondly, step away from the computer, stand up, walk around, and stretch those muscles. Bodies were meant to move. My standing computer keeps me moving. But I’ve also gotten into the habit of stretching my whole body when I first wake up and lay down. Moreover, the muscles need a work out. Doing this in mindfulness of improving yourself daily, makes this a Ritual.
Third, create a New Moon Ritual to hydrate every cell of the body first thing in the morning. Before coffee or tea, fill a large glass with room temp water. Then, I add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and honey. This neutralizes the system and aids in digestion while cleansing the kidneys and liver. Similarly, squeeze one half lemon or lime in the water instead of the vinegar for the same results. Also, sip lemon water throughout the day.
Another Body Ritual I’m working on is making 1/2 of each meal pure vegetables. We need main vitamins daily. Therefore, spinach, the wonder food, works with eggs or in a smoothie. Also, I’m seeking a good tasting Morning Green Blended Drink. Rituals make you pause and think about what you’re doing and why. What Rituals will make your body more aware, healthier, and stronger?
New Moon New Actions
New Moon Rituals lead me to learning new things. I find loads of information on Google. For instance, new research shows coffee is not as dehydrating as once believed. Apparently, our bodies adapt to the brew and coffee becomes another way to hydrate. Also, it regulates insulin with compounds and antioxidants. But everything in moderation, since it still does energize the body and glands, especially adrenals. A detox day of 1/2 decaf with your usual mix would help your body reset back to normal.
New Moon Rituals to me mean doing things in a different way. Magic does not meet you eye to eye. Taking action, the Doing of something, anything, stretching out of the comfort zone, summons the resources to make dreams come true. For example, doing Art Shows out East was costly, energy draining, and discouraging. Passion died. But, I have discovered some admirable artists selling original art on Ebay. Therefore, I intend to explore all that Ebay offers and give it a try.
Ultimately, New Moon Rituals mean doing things in mindfulness to change your habits, forge your personal path, stretch yourself, and create Magic. So do light the candle, declare Sacred Space, draw an oracle card, and write your dreams, ideas, and heart’s desires. This is the Dreaming Time. Write as though you already have it. These are the seeds to nourish for the coming month. Likewise, let go of all that no longer belongs to who you are today. But most of all, Do something about it! Thinking it won’t make it so.
Life is change, living is experiencing the new, and truth is found in new beginnings.
