It’s very Clever that way!
I’ve just been made aware of ‘parabens’. They are synthetic chemicals used to prevent bacteria build up in products. They are also synthetic estrogen. It seeps through your skin, and builds up in the body over time. So I went on a hunting expedition through my cabinets and found them, not just in cosmetics, the only place the FDA seems to have looked and stated they are fine for humans, but in shampoo, conditioner, body & hand creams, healing creams, face creams, and sunblock! They are the last ingredients listed and look something like Ethylparaben, or Methylparaben.
Then at the drugstore I even found them in baby rash cream. My special hair conditioner that I buy over the internet, had no less than 5 types of parabens. Parabens, along with Petrolatum (a derivative of tar from the oil industry), are unhealthy and cumulative in the body. You certainly don’t want them on your head or private parts! Banned in Europe, these un-natural alternatives to organic cocoanut oil, or the standby Shea Butter, makes me feel like a test tube for the pharmaceutical industry. No one knows the long term results, but does anyone look for a build up of parabens in cancer patients?
So unless you use all organic products, like my daughter, I suggest you conduct your own routing out of the nasty chemical that may be penetrating your body daily. Your skin is your body’s largest organ. Keep it healthy, moisturized, and protected. Spring cleaning will start the body healing, clearing process to right itself. You deserve the best, and that’s Organic anything these days!
