Transition, Change, Cycles, Promises of Spring. I wanted the water to look icy! Plus, there are 1000 tones of white, and our snow outside is icy, shiny, silvery in the light. That’s what I was seeking. Pure free-flowing Titanium White, applied with a palette knife, worked perfectly.

I remember walking with friends on the stone wall that buttresses Lake Michigan. Furthermore, it was a blustery, typical March Chicago day in Spring. The Sun was shining, and the waves were powerfully rolling beneath the icy surface.

Everywhere, we heard the sound of tinkling wind chimes fill the air. Nature played her magical song. Simultaneously, the winds and waves broke up the surface ice creating the sounds, as well as signaling the wild beginning of Spring thaw on the mighty lake.

Transition, change, cycles are the way of life.

The Promise of Spring lies in the chaos. For example, as one day the temp may be only a high of 28 and blustery, the next day prediction calls for 20 degrees warmer and calm. We move through cycles constantly, and consistently. The sweet balances out the harsh.

I find this even in the body. Imagine, the unknown pain that seems so drastic, can be moved over time into stronger muscles, easier flow, and a healed joint. Therefore, the key here is patience, and continually moving forward. Repetitive movements in joints, work like any other thing we want to master. Keep doing, making, moving and miracles will happen.

You must believe in the chaos of the moment to bring unknown magic to your life. Seek the new, the experiment, the unknown that somehow touches you deeply.

Inspiration may come in a photo or art. The color, subject, or form may trigger a memory of exquisite insight. You won’t find it unless your mind is open, and you look for the beauty.

What catches your imagination today? Signs, inspiration, and direction are always there, but often the noise of the day makes it invisible.
