Trusting Yourself Every Day

Trusting Yourself Every Day

Seaside Cliffs, Trusting Yourself Deeply

Trusting yourself every day is the only way to thrive. Others don’t know you, your body, your feelings, as well as you do. This is especially true as we enter into extreme weather patterns, caring for the body, and being happy in all we do.

I was raised to gather all the info possible before making a choice. But really, this is going outside yourself to get others opinions. That can be confusing as well as detrimental to your true needs. I trusted Doctors, Physical Therapists, and friends well meaning advice, only to get physically hurt instead of healed.

A massage, which should have been a healing ecstasy experience, turned out to be too vigorous. Only I knew when I had reached the limit of too much. I keep hearing about yoga healing, but if it’s more stretching, then I’m doing that and really need more patience. The body needs time to pull itself back together.

There are great PT services, and then there are ‘everybody does the same routine’ PT. How can you not gear exercise for the particular person’s needs? All doing the same thing feels a lot like a rough gym. Plus, you don’t want to leave in worse shape than you began!

Trusting yourself every day is a must for creativity.

I discover the best surprises when I trust myself in painting. Plus, it feels like Magic! Images appeared, sometimes much later and pointed out by an observer, that were completely unplanned. I feel like this is my soul talking to me.

The above painting is inspired by some very cool, striated Santa Fe mountains next to a highway. Allowing my body to take over, the road turned into the Sea, and mountains became cliffs. But during the actual creating, a cave appeared! That really surprised me. I augmented it with brilliant blues and that shifted everything.

In addition, Raven Woods, a forest painting that was just missing something, came together when I added ravens and dark contrasts. There was one particular dark spot that kept calling to me. Then my husband pointed out that it was a Bear!! Of course it is. I just couldn’t see it for the longest time.

Others have pointed out seated Buddhas, Faces in the sky, and creatures hidden in the brush in other paintings. Maybe this should be a thing! Find the hidden images and tell me about them!

But these things all happen when I trusted my Self to take over, and stopped thinking about the art. We have so many senses that we take for granted. Start living consciously and be aware of all the amazing magic happening when you live in feelings, trust yourself, and go for the joy. Check out more art www.awegroup.net
